Based on the reactions from enquiries, some people haven’t realized

that the prices of hair salon services have changed.  Post lockdown, prices have increased for hair salons too.  It is not unusual to find that the price of most products doubled!  Still, many people call, expecting the price of services they did prior to 2020 to have remained the same!

Hair Salons are balancing these increased prices including rent, while trying to stay afloat.   Most

have had other costs such as security, become a major concern.  Staying within a budget is important to a hair salon business too. However, some folks think that we are still in 2004.  I am going to point a finger and say women, who were having their hair done by a friend, or in a friend of a friend’s house, are offended that said friend wants to be paid.  Instead of offering to pay, perhaps with some kind of arrangement, they are angry that she even asked and decided to call around to hair salons.  When they are given estimates for the service, they either have a total meltdown or want to engage in an argument.

I understand that costs have people going gaga but being condescending and scoffing at hair salons workers because you disagree with their prices is unnecessary.  You always have the option to try someone else.  The price of hair salon services have changed whether you want to like it or not and let’s be real, if it was only going to take five minutes, you would have done it yourself.
